IRISH ACTOR LIAM Neeson has given an emotional interview about the death of his wife, Natasha Richardson.
The actress died from head injuries sustained in a skiing accident in Montreal in 2009, leaving Neeson to bring up the couple’s two sons.
She was 45 years old at the time of her death.
The actor has spoken about the pain of losing his wife in an interview with CBS’s Anderson Cooper. It will air this Sunday night during a special episode of 60 Mintes, which will profile the Ballymena man.
A preview clip released online ahead of the broadcast features Neeson talking about his final moments with Richardson.
She was on life support. I went in to her and I told her I loved her, said, ‘Sweetie, you’re not coming back from this, you’ve banged your head’.
Neeson also reveals that his late wife’s organs were donated and says she is “keeping three people alive”.
